- I have 2 grown up children, Nikki and Tim, from my first marriage; now married to Elena, with her 10 year old son Daniil. Elena's mother tongue is Russian, she comes from Zaporozhye in southern Ukraine, part of the ex Soviet Union. We live in Folkestone, approx 30 miles from Calais. The Channel Tunnel starts here and the port of Dover, with its ferries is just 15 minutes drive away, which makes it possible to go over on occasional trips to the supermarket, also to see friends, made when we lived over there. I lived in France for over 23 years and am very fond of French culture and in particular French cuisine, which will be the subject of many of my blogs. The website is still under construction; I will keep you posted.
